Di Meng approaches ceramics as a dialogue between intention and unpredictability. Through material experimentation, repeated firing, and an openness to chance, clay, glaze, and fire become active collaborators in the making process rather than materials to be fully controlled.

​Her work is drawn to moments of contradiction—softness and hardness, fragility and resilience, order and disorder. Organic forms emerge as though they are still growing, while surfaces record the traces of heat, pressure, and transformation.

​Rather than pursuing perfection, each vessel preserves the evidence of its own making. Every crack, texture, glaze movement, and sculpted detail becomes part of a living process, reflecting the beauty of change, imperfection, and continuous becoming.

​Although each series develops its own visual language through different materials, forms, and experimental processes, they are all connected by the same intention: to create objects that carry emotion, time, and quiet strength. Her practice views ceramics not simply as functional vessels, but as records of transformation—where experimentation leaves visible traces, and where stillness exists alongside fracture, allowing tension and vitality to coexist.
